Dry amber wine made from the grapes of the endemic Kisi variety from our own organic vineyard in the Georgian wine region of Kakheti. The wine is amber to orange in color and delights with its balanced, soft tannins.
Vintage
The year 2024 couldn’t have been better for us: we had plenty of sun, sufficient rain, and no issues with fungal infestations or other diseases. The Kisi grapes were of outstanding quality.
Organic Vineyard
We manage our vineyard ourselves to ensure that we only process the highest quality grapes. Our vineyard is fully organic, as we do not use herbicides, pesticides, or other chemical substances.
Natural Wine
We rely on spontaneous fermentation by the naturally occurring yeast cultures on the grapes. Natural filtration, no clarification, no fining, no added sulfites.
Production Method
Our 2024 dry Kisi was produced in an underground clay amphora, a so-called Qvevri. This method is part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. The wine was fermented on the skins according to Kakhetian tradition, which gives it its orange color and tannins. You can learn more about this 8,000-year-old production method on our blog.
