Grape variety: Saperavi
Fermented in: Kvevri
Aged in: Kvevri
Type: Red dry
This beautiful Saperavi wine is made from the red grape of the same name, a very old Georgian grape variety. The grapes, grown in our own vineyard near Kvareli in Kakheti, were hand-picked and processed manually.
The wine was produced according to the traditional Kakhetian method using Kvevris (clay amphora buried in the ground) for both fermentation and maturing. The wine was filtered naturally and stored in a stainless steel barrel before bottling.
A beautiful ruby red color to enjoy before you take the first sip. The aromas include coffee, blackberries, and black currants. The tannins are elegant for a young wine and the taste remains for a long time.
This wine will combine perfectly with grilled meat and game dishes where a tasty sauce does not have to be missing. A tasty (salty) cheese will also accompany this wine perfectly.
